My client are a leading High-Frequency Trading (HFT) firm based in Chicago, looking to hire experienced Quantitative Traders to build out new trading desks. The firm offers a cutting-edge, market-leading platform for high-frequency trading, supporting latency-sensitive strategies across cash equities and futures trading on all major exchanges.

About the Role:

As a Quantitative Trader, you will be part of an exciting opportunity to take ownership of building and scaling up a new trading desk. You will be provided with strong risk allocation , access to a market-leading trading platform , and high PnL split bonuses . You will be encouraged to develop and execute your own trading strategies, all while receiving the support of a dedicated tech team who can provide development and infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage your own high-frequency trading strategies in cash equities and/or futures products.
• Utilize an advanced platform to implement latency-sensitive trading strategies.
• Collaborate with the tech team to optimize trading infrastructure, performance, and reliability.
• Demonstrate strong returns with a focus on maintaining a high Sharpe Ratio and return on capital (ROC).
• Contribute to the development and growth of a new trading desk, either as an individual trader hire or as part of an existing team.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record in quantitative trading with high ROC and Sharpe Ratio of 5+ .
• Strong expertise in high-frequency trading strategies, with hands-on experience in cash equities and/or futures.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java for developing and optimizing trading algorithms.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive environment with a strong focus on risk management and performance.
• Comfortable with autonomy in building and managing a new trading desk.
