Kinsa is recruiting for a: Human Resources Manager – Food

Location: Onsite in Philadelphia, PA

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of meat products with a new opportunity for a Human Resources Manager to join their team in Philadelphia. Their reputation is known world-wide as a leading provider of top quality products, with customers in local regional and restaurant chains to international chains and distributors. You will lead and direct the daily activities of the plant Human Resources department to include associate relations, staffing, pay and benefits, and communicating company policies and practices.

*** 3+ years of managerial experience in Human Resources in the food manufacturing industries required ***

Compensation/Benefits:

  • Base salary target of $120K + bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will oversee the daily workflow of the plant Human Resources department to include providing superior customer service to associates and other internal customers, processing personnel changes and benefits paperwork, plant communications, and staffing and hiring.
  • Provide support and guidance to plant management and other staff around policies, procedures and sensitive matters
  • Manage and drive the hiring process to meet the plant’s staffing needs, which may include recruitment, interviewing, offers, orientations and onboarding of qualified job applicants, to include entry level and skilled roles
  • Maintain knowledge of Human Resource related trends, best practices and local and federal employment law

Education & Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • SHRM-CP, PHR or other Human Resources related certification preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively use HRIS and payroll/timekeeping systems. ADP experience is preferred
