Content Creator & Producer

This is a rare opportunity to lead the creation and development of original content for a fast-growing media brand that speaks to millions of people daily in the fastest growing sport in the world. This person should be stoked at the idea of flexing their creative muscle to entertain, inform, and make our passionate fans/listeners/followers laugh. We are looking for someone who is creative, super detail oriented and up to speed on the latest content and social media trends.

This person will be responsible for creating/producing original short-form and long-form content for YouTube and social, managing our social media channels and staying on top of the latest news and happenings in pickleball.

You will work directly with the Founder & CEO to lead, shape and develop our content strategy and brand voice.

Key Responsibilities

• Create original short-form content, videos, graphics and memes related to the latest in the world of pickleball, while finding unique ways of tying a niche sport to the broader zeitgeist
• Development of new content and IP for YouTube and social media
• Possess or develop a knack for going ‘viral’
• Identify compelling stories and content that will appeal to our audience and drive engagement
• Quickly produce videos and graphics to entertain, educate and inform the pickleball community
• Film and edit short-form and long-form videos
• Work alongside our CEO to film, edit and produce viral content
• Travel to tournaments and events to create content on-site
• Constantly monitor social media and other mediums to stay on top of and contribute to the most important conversations and topics
• Provide commentary on news and developments across the sport of pickleball and the pro pickleball landscape
• Post daily across Twitter, IG, TT, FB, YT and more
• Work with content team, writers, and operations to ensure that we are properly promoting our own initiatives (e.g. The Dink’s events, promotions, company updates, product launches, news and announcements)
• Engage with our readers, followers, listeners and fans across all channels daily
• Monitor social analytics to identify high-performing content and improve our content strategy
• Monitor all social channels and implement strategies to boost engagement and drive growth

Qualifications

• New York City based or ability to commute to Manhattan daily
• Bachelor's Degree
• Previous experience in content creation and social media
• Experience with video editing, copywriting and producing image/video content
• Proficient in major social media platforms and the latest social media and content trends
• Ability to work and operate efficiently to meet quick turnarounds
• Extreme attention to detail
• Willingness to "work" on weekends – occasionally traveling to events to create content and provide coverage
• Video editing and production experience is a major plus
• Ability to work with tools like Canva or a similar graphic design software, Adobe or a similar editing software and Capcut or a similar editing tool for quick turnaround of engaging content
• Experience with copywriting as it pertains to compelling captions, X threads, YouTube titles, graphic creation and more
• Knowledge of pickleball or willingness to learn rapidly
